IntriguingMinds.com, a web design and development tutorial site that also promotes video training products related to website design and development.

After many years of developing Microsoft Windows-based applications, I decided to port my application development knowledge to the web. I learned very early on that I wanted my sites to be aesthetically pleasing, not just well programmed. So in addition to learning the many aspects of web development (HTML, Javascript, Actionscript, PHP, MySql, CSS, etc.), I also had to learn a great deal about graphic design (Photoshop, Fireworks, Fash Design, etc., etc.).

During this trek to learn about the web envrionment (both graphically and programmatically), I have purchased many books and visited many sites. And although, many of the books and sites that I visited gave me invaluable information along the way, the examples were always snippets (snippets of code, Photoshop tips and tricks, etc.), I have rarely read a book or visited a site that created a website from beginning to end (from installing local web servers to ftp'ing the final site to the host provider). For instance, I have books about PHP, but I have never read a book or visited a site that shown me how to develop an entire PHP site using Dreamweaver (from start to finish). The site will offer tutorials about web design and development (from the rooter to the tutor).

While promoting other training products, we are creating video training ormat. The tutorials will also be divided into phases where each phase of the video can be downloaded separately. In the grahic design phase, we will use Photoshop or Fireworks to design the web pages. Depending on the interface direction, we will use either HTML/CSS or Flash/Actionscript (or SwishMax) to create the web interface. In addition, most of our database development/interaction will be created using PHP and MySQL.

In addition to the web design eBooks/video tutorials, we will also display additional resources that can assist in creating a website (marketing tutorials, relevant links, code snippets, Photoshop tips and tricks, etc). It's all about the site.
